About

- 1024x1024, 1024x1024+The Greatest Movie Prop Ever Sold The Greatest Movie Prop Ever Sold (or, simply, The Greatest) was a 1989 exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London showing a collection of the world's best movie props, including a Blofeld top hat, the sword from The Man With the Golden Gun, the Berenice diamonds, the Ace Ventura watch, Lee Van Cleef's holster and three-pronged katana from Enter the Dragon. The accompanying book, An Exhibition to Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Man with the Golden Gun, the article by Susan Sontag and Trudi Canavan, and the DVD containing a documentary about the exhibit were generally well received. Background The exhibition was first shown at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in 1989 and then at the National Museum of Wales in 1993. IMPORTANT: To correctly use the assets, preview first by making a build and then run the project, open up the PNG or TGA file in Photoshop or GIMP and place it where you need it to be used. Also, as you preview the icon, keep in mind that the icon will change based on the resolution and look for odd looking spots where the image got pixelated. These spots are the exact spots where you will notice a difference in the final product. If you use any of the assets in a commercial application, please respect the license of the creator and, after reviewing our license here: ask the author to send you a license if applicable. As far as I know, there is no harm in using a zero-sized icon in your application. Maybe someone knows better. Having said that, I wouldn't hesitate to ask the creator of the icons to license it to me. I know I wouldn't use the stock toolbar icons in large applications like mine because I don't mind spending my own money when it comes to licensing and/or paying for the development of something I might consider using in my app. Sounds like you already have some sort of license. Otherwise I'd avoid the use of these icons in the first place and just go for "regular" icons. As far as I know, there is no harm in using a zero-sized icon in your application. I'm using the IcoMoon library; the author seems quite generous regarding letting people use his work commercially without the need for a license. So that's actually why I brought this topic up. Just trying to find some more royalty-free icons that I can use for my personal projects, but this thread was a nice surprise! Thanks very much for taking the time to create all of these wonderful icons.
